Apple sending confirmation e-mails to some iTunes users

For the past several weeks, Apple has been sending automatic "confirmation of purchase" e-mails to iTunes App Store customers when they buy content from an iOS device not previously associated with the account, MacRumors reports. The company already requires a manual authorization (or re-authorization) of the CID number on the back of a credit card on the first purchase from a new device, but iTunes Store Gift Card users aren't required to authenticate beyond their AppleID password....
